We pray for all those gathered at the Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet for the second week of New Wine’s United 2017: ‘Uniting thousands to worship one’.

pray for St Leonard’s Chelwood and St. Mary’s Wed 2 We Compton Dando which are in urgent need of spiritual and numerical growth and volunteers to take up positions on the PCC, including Churchwardens.

we give thanks for the work of the Lay Pastoral Thur 3 Lord, Assistants (LPAs) in the Saltford, Corston and Newton St Loe benefice. Please pray for the launch of their afternoon tea for those who have been bereaved, as well as a new messy play initiative for preschool children and their grown-ups!

Lord, we give thanks for all of those who are supporting and enabling Blagdon with Compton Martin and Ubley benefice during vacancy. We pray for the appointment of a new Rector.

We pray for all of our deaneries as they progress their deanery mission action plans.

Sun 6

Transfiguration of Our Lord We pray for the churches in Chew Magna, Dundry, Norton Malreward, Stanton Drew, Chew Stoke and Nempnett Thrubwell. May they find an administrator to assist in mission and support clergy, readers and wardens in their roles. We give thanks for all those involved in Landlubbers, this year’s pirate-themed holiday club St Paul’s Weston-super-Mare. May the children be inspired by games, music, crafts and bible teachings.

Ahead of next month’s Vocations Brunch in Martock, we pray for those who are hearing God’s call and planning to attend.

Mary Sumner Day, we give thanks for the founder Wed 9 On of Mothers’ Union and pray for all members in their work to support families and family life.

We give thanks for Nigel Padfield the Revd Andrew Hazelwood and all others involved in the coordination of a new missional service at Butlins, Minehead – now in its fourth week. We pray that staff and holidaymakers are drawn into a closer relationship with God.

We pray for St Lawrence’s Church at Stanton Prior. May it become more relevant to those it seeks to serve.

Today we pray for our Reader Council, Diocesan Warden of Readers, Archdeaconry Wardens and all who serve as Readers across the diocese.

Sat 19

Lord, we ask for your blessing on Ria Harding, Keynsham Parish's new youth worker. May she flourish in her role.

Sun 20

Lord, grant your peace to all in Zambia that they may all live in peaceful coexistence and mutual respect. We pray for those in Luapula Diocese who are preparing for a lay reader workshop and their Mother’s Union who have their conference.

We pray for the parish of All Saints Publow with Pensford as it prepares to start a new all-age informal service with a shared supper in September.

Today we pray for the Mothers’ Union Diocesan Festival at St Paul’s Weston-super-Mare and Bishop Ruth as she presides.

We pray for Publow with Pensford, Compton Dando & Chelwood, may their St Mary’s Café Church service continue to grow. Lord, grant your followers hope and energy as they seek further ways to put mission and evangelism at the forefront of what they do.

Bartholemew the Apostle We pray for those who are to be licensed to new posts this month: Revd Evelyn Lee-Barber as Associate Priest at Bath Abbey Group Ministry and Revd Tim Jessiman as Locking Deanery Mission Enabler and Priest in Charge of Churchill and Langford.

We pray for the building project that’s underway at St Peter’s, Marksbury.

We pray for all the parishes in Chew Magna Deanery, may they have all the resources they are seeking to help them live and tell the story of Jesus in their communities.

We pray for those involved in the proposed reordering at All Saints Church, Farmborough.

pray for the organisers and all those gathering for Sat 12 We Bath Folk Festival. May they take joy from the gift of music they hear.

remember the many families with young children Sun 13 We who face financial difficulties during the school holidays. We give thanks for Saltford Food Bank which opened last month. We offer prayers for those who need to use it and those who make it possible.

Mon 14

Keynsham is growing with new housing increasing the population by over 4,000 (over 20%). We pray for the Christians of the town as they seek to connect with the new arrivals.

Tue 15 The Blessed Virgin Mary We pray for St Michael’s Church in Dundry as they move into the second phase of re-roofing and re-ordering, for the congregation to remain steadfast. We give thanks for the generosity shown.

pray for the parishes in Ilminster Deanery who are Sat 26 We seeking to appoint associate ministers. Bishop Ruth presides over services in Allerton and Sun 27 As Wedmore today, we pray for joy and peace for all who live and work in those communities.

Today we pray for all our teachers, head teachers and those who are already preparing to support our children and young people in the academic year ahead.

pray for The Revd Philip Butcher who has just Tue 29 We joined Two Shires benefice.

Wed 30

We give thanks for Rob Bubyer and the children’s team at St J’s in Peasedown as they host Animal Tales holiday club. May the youngsters be inspired by activities based on the many stories of animals in the Bible.

Thurs 31

On the eve of starting her new role as children's worker in the Seven Sowers benefice, we pray for Holly Stevens and give thanks for her ministry.
