Held monthly zones, in which 10 ideas have been proposed and 3 of which have passed (Two only recently passed so no progress has been made yet). Worked with VP Sports on idea for extended space for sports equipment, still in early process as working to make the most of the space we already have so we can decide exactly how much space is needed. Held regular exec meetings, in which each exec has given progress updates on their roles, and aided where necessary Aided VP Sports in the planning of the execution of Kick Off, could not attend due to Wednesday fixtures however aided before and event was a success Implemented mentoring scheme within Athletic Union, in which every AU club is paired up with a member of the exec team who acts as a first point of contact for the club. Overseen and aided in first round of development forms applications, along with the exec to best decide how to allocate funds, each teams application went to their mentor, we then recommended an outcome on our own teams. Attended meetings with some mentor clubs to discuss problems and action plans. Sat on disciplinary panel alongside Societies chair and VP Welfare and Community. Attended Sports management group meetings with members of Sport and rec, sport and exercise science as well as some university representatives. Attended majority of fortnightly sports strategy meetings with VP Sports and union members of staff. Attended each UAB meeting, in which I have been allocated to various ideas, working alongside both VP Sport and Societies chair. Brought back team of the week and implemented sportsperson of the week, emphasising recognition and rewards within the Athletic Union

Implementation of Mentoring scheme, which has helped a lot on workload of execs and gives presidents a member of exec that they can communicate with/through Kick Off had more attendees than last year, although there is still room to develop and grow it, it was a success with a lot of home wins and a great even/environment. Team/sportsperson of the week, when I went for position I wanted a bigger focus on rewards/recognition and this has been successfully implemented week in week out. Beat last year’s AU member’s numbers, not far off reaching yearly target. Successfully allocated all of first round of development pot to clubs with exec team. Managed a great team and ensured all roles are being fulfilled.

Meeting with member who put forward idea of societies showcase to aid in putting this event on as some sports clubs will be taking part. Date for event to follow from meeting. Idea to extend sports storage space, working on with VP Sports, still in early stages as we first need to see if any space around campus can be utilised before we try and spend any money. Sitting on fortnightly meetings on sports strategy, and how to move forward as an AU and develop clubs, work in progress as we are attempting to see what each club needs specifically to develop and grow.
