SPRING GAMES TRAINING - the calendar says it is officially Spring and teams are out and practicing for the May 1st Spring Games at North Central College. This year we are introducing a NEW EVENT— The Mini Jav and it is going to be a great event for those looking for something more challenging than the softball throw. St. Charles East HS brought in Throwing Coach Vince Bingham from NIU to teach their potential mini jav athletes. There were some amazing throws after just 15 minutes!

March Madness SO styleSpecial Olympics basketball continues to grow and it is MADNESS in March in Normal! This year 144 teams traveled to Normal for 3 days of hoops and hoopla. Area 2 had 6 high school teams, 5 senior and Kendall County Special Ed. Co-op juniors made it to state in their first year! Thanks to the many officials from Area 2 who volunteered their weekend to referee many games!

Marmion Cadet Camp - the amazing cadets of Marmion Academy held their 2nd Cadet Camp with Special Olympics , this time focusing on track and field events. Our Special Olympics athletes learned and practiced shot put, running long jump, mini jav, relay exchanges, starts and even the high jump. Marmion track athletes and their coaches were on hand to work one on one to prepare the athletes for Spring Games. THANK YOU MARMION!
