United Motorcyclist of Vermont – Dedicated to motorcycle safety, education, awareness, pro-motorcyclist legislation and individual freedom. Application to join United Motorcyclists of Vermont Who we are... UMV is a Vermont Motorcycle Rights Organization (MRO). We focus our attention on state and regional affairs as well as national issues. Many of our members also belong to The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) a national organization. UMV through its charity work, scholarship program, and motorcycle awareness & safety promotion and through peaceful discourse with our legislators works to improve the image of motorcyclists and to protect our rights. We are a legislative watchdog for issues affecting Vermont motorcyclists and all issues concerning personal freedom. We also promote interaction between our members with social events and group rides.
Monthly Meetings: Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month alternating between Hyde Park VFW & the Orleans American Legion.
Our Mission Statement: UMV is dedicated to promoting motorcycle safety and protection motorcyclists’ rights. UMV is both political and charitable; we work to get people elected who support motorcyclists’ rights. We hold several functions throughout the year to support causes such as Shriners Hospitals for Children, Camp Takumta, our own scholarships and others.
