Operations Working in Operations and assisting the Operations Managers, you will be involved in the efficient running of the department which involves day-to-day activities and various projects. This role will give a great insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of a rail freight company. We are looking for an individual who has good communication and IT skills. You will be liaising with other departments within the company as well as using various software (primarily Microsoft Office) to complete tasks. Some of the duties will include; scanning, filing and distribution of various documents, continual monitoring of company pool car mileages, with the associated booking-in for services, MOTs and repairs by liaising with leasing companies. keeping all safety notices & information up-to-date for traincrew, checking out-of-hours store stock levels and the upkeep & creation of databases and spreadsheets.
