South Bethany Comprehensive Plan – Community Questionnaire 2011 List of Property Owners’ Comments For: Future Town Needs: Additional Walking and Bicycle Paths
In the survey, responders were asked to provide written comments if they had anything to add relative to Future Town Needs. The Council will review these comments and the scores as we make decisions about future town needs . Comments – Additional Walking and Bicycle Paths: TOTAL: 9 Comments/860 Returns (1%) 38- Where? 149- No place to put more paths. 171- Allow bikes on existing path particularly from Sept. to May; considering the increasing number of bike accidents on Route 1, we should allow bikes on the paved areas of west side of Route 1. Shoulders are not safe. No other town bans bikes on sidewalk and Bethany even allows them on the boardwalk in early morning and all winter. 184- Depends on where. 201- Where? 216- Where? Would be nice. 554- Where? 680- Enforce laws in current paths. 849- Need for walking paths.
