Response to Questions/Clarifications Regarding questions 1 through 3, on page 30 of the RFP, Section II. Required Activities and Functions, paragraph G. Meetings, Availability, Record Maintenance, and Office Space, in item 1., the last paragraph states, “ The Project Management staff will make arrangements for a flexible working space within the Broker’s offices or at the Agency’s office facilities.” Q1. A1.

Q2. A2.

What is meant by a flexible working space? Is this envisioned as an occasional space where the Coordinator might work for short periods of time? A non-occupied cubicle or office space will be made available to the Coordinator upon request or established by a schedule. It will not be a permanently designated space but, will be identified at each location for the Coordinator’s use. Working space will be made available on a daily basis at the Broker’s office, AC Transit, or BART during regular work week hours. A small amount of storage for current work files and personal office supplies will be made available at each location but will not be lockable. Will the space allow the Coordinator to store work/documents and maintain a desktop computer? The Coordinator should not plan on maintaining a desktop computer at any facility. The Coordinator will have access to Wi-Fi. Storage of documents should be delineated in response to the RFP plan for short/long term document retention plan required in response to the RFP. A small amount of storage for current work files and personal office supplies will be available at each location but will not be lockable.

Q3. A3.

Will there be access to copying/printing/scanning equipment? The Coordinator can access/use any of the copying, printing, and scanning equipment located at the facilities.

Q4.

Can a contractor that currently provides paratransit services to the District participate in the RFP or would it be considered a conflict of interest? The RFP is for a paratransit coordinator that is will be charged with overseeing the performance of paratransit service providers. As such, AC Transit would not consider award of a contract under this RFP to any paratransit service providers. It would represent a conflict of interest.
