Storage Area Network (SAN) Storage Array ADDENDUM Number 1 dated January 12, 2015 The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District herewith issues this Addendum No. 1 to the above referenced Documents. Except as modified below, all other terms and conditions shall remain in effect. Strikethrough texts are words deleted from original RFQ text and bold/italicized/underlined texts are changes to original RFQ text.

Amendments to the General Conditions, Instructions and Information for Offerors Question No. 1 •

Are the Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects covered by SmartNet for software upgrades?

Should the storage arrays replicate data at the SAN level between the two sites?

No, we use Microsoft and Data Domain technologies to replicate data.

(1) Please break out the data types and exact file sizes associated with the apps (specifically not the provisioned lun sizes)? Data types and sizes (GB/TB) and file sizes For example: • • • •

Exchange - 10TB of file storage group files • No Exchange data SQL - 5TB (MDF, LDF etc) • We have approximately 5TB of SQL data File systems - 5TB ( excel, powerpoint, word etc) • We have 8TB of File Server data General VMs - 25TB ( General VMs) • We have 13 TB of General VM’s

(2) Please let us know if you have a large number of pre-compressed mpegs, jpegs etc. If so, how large are they? GB/TB We have some compressed video files on our file servers. Maybe 1 TB. (3) What % of free space is required on the array? e.g. 30% The array has to be scalable. I would like at least 25% initially but have the option to add additional storage later if needed. . Answer No. 1 We can download the current firmware from Cisco for the Fabric Interconnects but Cisco will not install the firmware. Question No. 2 Should professional services be included to upgrade the UCS firmware in order to support the features requested in the RFP? Answer No. 2 Yes. The vendor should install the updates and completely integrate the new storage arrays with our existing environment. Question No. 3 Are there any unused port licenses for UCS Fabric Interconnects?

Answer No. 3 . The Fabric Interconnect at the GO requires licenses for any new ports as they are all used. The Fabric Interconnect at the DR site has 5 available ports licenses per switch.

Question No. 4 Can you provide a license summary for each Fabric Interconnect?

Answer No. 4 At the GO we have 10 licenses per switch (20 total) and all are used. At the DR site we have 12 licenses per switch (24 total) and 7 per switch are used. Question No. 5 Since UCS Fabric Interconnect models 6120 and 6248 only support 8G fiber channel, can the proposed storage controller use multiple 8G interfaces instead of 16G interface? Answer No. 5 Yes. 10GB Ethernet could also be a solution

Question No. 6 Should the storage arrays replicate data at the SAN level between the two sites?

Answer No. 6 No, we use Microsoft and Data Domain technologies to replicate data.
