PTO News Thank you for your support with the KidStuff fundraiser. We hope you save a lot of money this year! A huge thank you to the PTO chairs Kerri Brown and Christy Bause for their hard work in facilitating this fundraiser. We had a great turn out for our first PTO meeting! Week of Respect Tinc Road School students and staff will be celebrating the week of Respect (October 1-5). Please see the flyer below for information on our Spirit Week as well as our "Good Character Pledge." Over the next couple of weeks, I will be going into your child's classroom to review the pledge as well as read a story about Good Character and Respect. I have attached some other resources that you may want to view at home with your child. In cases where it is a shortened week, the publication date may be adjusted. The submission deadline is Tuesday at 3:30pm. All submissions must be approved by the PTO and/or the school administration.

WEEK OF

October 1st – 5th October 1-5 is designated as The Week of Respect in New Jersey Schools. Mt. Olive School students and staff will participate in the following theme days to celebrate the many different ways we respect ourselves and others.

Monday, October 1 – “Stomp Out Bullying” #BlueUp – Please wear the color blue. Tuesday, October 2 – “Respect is No Sweat” – Please wear sweatpants. Wednesday, October 3 – “Respect is Picture Perfect” – Please dress for our school’s picture day

Thursday, October 4 – “Super Hero Day – Helping Everyone Respect Others” – Please wear a super hero shirt.

Friday, October 5 - “School Spirit Day” – Please wear your school’s colors or spirit wear to show your school pride. You can support your child’s learning through the following activities at home: 

Notice when your child uses respectful language or behavior. You can say, “I like how you said please and thank you. That is very respectful.”



Work with your child to identify things he or she said or did during the day to show respect for him or herself.



Work with your child to identify someone they believe is respectful and discuss why and how they are respectful.

Would you like to volunteer but don’t know where to start? Do you want to know more about the PTO? The Tinc Road School PTO uses ‘Sign Up Genius’ to coordinate volunteers for events throughout the school year. This will allow you to choose your involvement and automatically remind you of events. This form needs to be filled out every year because we do not keep prior year information. If you received Sign Up Genius emails last year you still need to send in this form for this year.
