Field Trip On Wednesday, October 28th the 8th grade students will be taking a Social Studies field trip to Boston. We will be taking a walking tour of a portion of the Freedom Trail, lunching at Faneuil Hall, and then visiting the Museum of Science. Information: • We will be leaving on the 8:15 am boat. Please be at the Vineyard Haven Steamship Authority between 7:45 and 8:00 am. • The group will come back to the island on the 5:00pm boat, arriving in Vineyard Haven at 5:45. Please be prompt when picking up your child. • The fee for the Freedom Trail is $6.00. Students have a choice of what they would like to do at the Museum of Science. Students who would like to visit the Harry Potter exhibit will pay a $10 admission fee. Students who would like to do a general tour of the museum will pay a $7.50 admission fee. Lunch/Snacks • Students will be buying their own lunch at Faneuil Hall. $10 for lunch will be enough to purchase food and a beverage. • Snacks are permitted on the boat and bus. While students can purchase snacks on the boat, I would suggest packing snacks and water to drink for both the trip up and back. Reminders: • This is a school trip, so no gum, candy, or soda is allowed. • Music can be listened to on the bus, but cannot be brought into the museum or on the tour. • This is a cell phone free trip.
