The Bhagyashree scheme will be linked to the Centre‟s „Beti Bachao Beti Padhao‟ scheme. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar launched North East India‟s first Kisan Call Centre (KCC) and farmers‟ portal(advisory to farmers for farm production under direct supervision of the experts) in Agartala. manufactured Rotavirus vaccine “Rotavac” to combat infant mortality due to diarrhoea, developed by Hyderabadbased Bharat Biotech. Rotavac vaccine was developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model that involved Union Ministry of Science and Technology, institutions of the US Government and NGOs in India supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Foreign companies currently sell Rotavirus vaccines in India at Rs.1,100 per dose while Bharat Biotech proposed to sell Rotavac for Rs.63 per dose to the government of India and other low income countries. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched „Aapki Beti Humari Beti‟ Scheme on the eve of International Women‟s Day i.e. 8 March at Panchkula district,Haryana. Under the scheme- 'Aapki Beti Humari Beti', it should be noted that:  The scheme would be implemented in rural areas as well as urban areas of the state- Haryana.  It will include the families having first girl child born on or after January 22, 2015 under Scheduled Caste (SC) and Below Poverty Line (BPL). They would be eligible to receive 21,000 rupees.  Likewise, all the second girl child of all families who are born on or after January 22, 2015 will get 21,000 rupees.  Families with twin girls or multiple girls, will get 21,000 rupees per girl child.  Haryana CM launched the scheme by giving away a cheque of 21,000 rupees each to the mothers of six girl children born on or after January 22, 2015.  A special budget provision would be made for this scheme in order to generate an environment which provides equal opportunities to the girls. Khattar also launched 'Haryana Kanya Kosh' for the welfare and development of girl child and women in the state. He himself contributed 1 lakh rupees to the Haryana Kanya Kosh and claimed to take

Resource Development (HRD) has released „Digital Gender Atlas for Advancing Girls Education‟ a web-based tool for advancing girls education in New Delhi. This web based tool was developed with the support of United Nations Children‟s Fund (UNICEF). The Atlas will help to identify and ensure equitable education with a focus on vulnerable girls, including girls with disabilities. To ensure this is feasible, the Gender Atlas was developed as a hands-on management tool to enable critical decisions and actions in pockets where gaps are to be met. These pockets particularly have been identified from marginalised groups such as scheduled castes (SC‟s), scheduled tribes (ST‟s) and Muslim minorities. As per the statistics, the total enrollment of girls in the primary classes is 48.66% while the percentage in secondary is 47.29%.
