Philosophy 650 E. Sosa Wednesday evenings Advanced Topics: Epistemology One or two introductory sessions will take up how best to frame epistemological issues of knowledge and justification. They will touch on evidentialism versus reliabilism, and more generally on internalism versus externalism. After that we’ll turn to some or all of the following topics: • Knowledge, competence, and virtue epistemology • Pyrrhonian skepticism; epistemic agency • Reflection and agency • Knowledge and reliable sources of information • Issues of methodology, including the nature and epistemic value of intuitions, in philosophy and elsewhere • Epistemological problems of disagreement The bearing if any of evolution on epistemology •
