Did you know permits are required for roofs, fences, a/c units, heat pumps, water heaters, decks, deck/patios w/roofs, storage sheds and aluminum shelters, just to name a few. If you begin work without a permit, the building fees are DOUBLED! Call Cyd the Permit Assistant at 360.793.1099 for more information.
VOLUNTEER'S NEEDED - VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA Volunteer Responsibilities: Van Driver: Pick up and drop off seniors at their residence or designated pick up location in Index, Gold Bar, Startup and Sultan and transport them to the VOA-Frame. Ensure a safe and enjoyable ride for the seniors by following safe driving practices. Keep a record of seniors who are being transported. Spend quality time with the seniors while engaging in pleasant conversation and assistance with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed. Time Commitment: 4-hours per week on Wednesday 10:30 am – 1:30 pm. Food Bank: we need volunteers in the following areas; administration, warehouse and distribution. Requirements: Volunteer must submit a volunteer application and undergo a background check. Van drivers must have a good driving record and valid WA State driver’s license.
