May 3 (Wednesday): GO Monthly Group Meeting “Lunch with Alice” 11:00 a.m. ▪ New Orleans Ladies Ballroom, 1771 Stumpf Blvd, Terrytown ▪ Theme: Kentucky Derby come out to cheer for your favorite horse and jockey in our traditional big race ▪ ladies, don't forget to wear those fabulous hats ▪ Menu: Chicken Florentine with bowtie pasta, peas & corn, salad, bread, and German Chocolate cake ▪ NO menu substitutions

May 11 (Thursday): Lunch and Learn: “AAAneurysm Outreach” ▪ Marylou Cessna ▪ Get the facts about Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm ▪ an estimated 1.2 million people in the U States have an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and don’t know it ▪ 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. ▪ River Room: Ochsner Westbank ▪ NOTE TIME CHANGE

May 8 – 22: Alaskan cruise ▪ Office will be manned by volunteers ▪ call before coming May 31 (Wednesday): Mardi Gras Museum of Costumes and Culture/Oceana Grill ▪ View the many magnificent costumes, from Elvis Presley’s Medici collar to a giant wearable pirate ship ▪ play dress-up and take selfies with a variety of headdresses, crowns, and masks in “The Costume Closet” ▪ Follow up with lunch on your own at Oceana Grill, noted for the crabcakes and oysters, but featuring a varied menu including burgers, po’ boys, soups, salads, seafood, & pasta ▪ limited to 31 members

June 14 (Wednesday): Old New Orleans Rum Distillery/Sammy’s Food Service & Deli ▪ First stop is the French Market for a little time to browse the stalls and shops ▪ next have a great local sandwich, salad or other lunch on your own at Sammy’s (home of the Ray-Ray Po-Boy) ▪ following lunch we’ll visit the Rum Distillery where we can sip rum-spiked Cajun iced tea while touring the facility ▪ learn about the history of this unique local company producing award-winning rum inside an old cotton warehouse
