Bible Verses for Coaches about Power Of Words James 3:1-12 Not many of you should become Coaches, my brothers, for you know that Coaches who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if a Coach does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! 7

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no Coach can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With the tongue Coaches praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. Coaches, this should not be. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the Coach’s tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
