2nd Grade Newsletter Month of May READING Finishing plants and trees and then we will begin digging into poetry through reading
MATH We will finish Topic 5: 3- digit addition and subtraction We will complete Topic 6: Lays the conceptual foundation for multiplication and division in Grade 3 and for the idea that numbers other than 1, 10, and 100 can serve as units. We will begin Topic 7: Students represent categorical and measurement data using picture graphs, bar graphs, and line plots.

SCIENCE Fossils
HOMEWORK Read for 20 minutes every night. Please use the tasks found on the back of students’ take home folders and sign the reading log in the Project Best book after reading is completed. We are also asking for students to complete at least 10 minutes of ST Math at home each night.
