KID’S PEDAL POWER TRACTOR PULL

CO-SPONSORED WITH SENECA EAST YOUNG FARMERS Register at the registration table begins at 4:15 PM. The scales close at 5:00 PM. Registration for ALL classes will close each day at the start of the first class. Be prompt by 5:00 pm to register on pull days. The required signature of parent or guardian releases the Attica Fair & the Seneca East Young Farmers from any financial responsibility due to accident. Children must be weighed in at registration. ONCE WEIGHED THE FIRST TIME, THIS WEIGHT WILL APPLY ALL OTHER DAYS OF COMPETITION PULLING. Our scale is the official weighing equipment. No other weights will be accepted. Pedal tractors will be furnished for all participants. The track crew determines the tractor used for each class. The contestant must be able to pedal the tractor without assistance. Participation is free, but donations to the event are always welcome. It is required that all contestants wear shoes. Rubber soled shoes or tennis shoes are recommended. For the safety of the participants, it is NOT permitted to Jerk the tractor by yanking/pulling on the steering wheel or using their feet off the pulling surface to advance the tractor. Pull is done at that point. The SEYF will intervene if this action is present as it creates a safety issue for both child and other participants. All contestants will be given two chances to get the sled moving from the starting line. The pulling tractor must stay between the lines of the pulling lane at all times. If the tractor leaves the pulling lane, the distance will be measured from the starting line to the point where the tractor crossed the boundary. Only 1 restart is allowed after stopping on the track. Contestants may compete as many days as they wish. Previous qualifiers can pull at the end of their respective class. The top 3 placers each day in each weight class are eligible for the Championship Pull on Saturday. There will be four classes of contestants as follows:
Class 1: Class 3:
Pink..........25-35 pounds Blue..........46-55 pounds
Class 2: Yellow................36-45 pounds Class 4: Green..................56-65 pounds
(no exceptions on these weights as our equipment is geared for these weights only)
The Championship Pull will be held on Saturday of fair week at 4:00 PM with the top 3 placers from each day competing in the weight class in which they previously qualified for earlier in the Fair week. Prizes: Attica Fair will be responsible for prizes to winners as they are so designated. We welcome any sponsoring donations.
