For 13 years, the Marquette Food Co-op has been coordinating tours of local farms throughout the Upper Peninsula to offer everyone the opportunity to find out where their food comes from, learn about how it’s grown or raised, and meet the farmers who are dedicated to providing our area with fresh, quality food. MSU North Farm

BSB Farms

Between 12-5pm, tours run continuously N5431 Rock River Road, Chatham, MI 49816 Producing: Organic Vegetables & Organic Strawberries Take U.S. 41 South approximately 18 miles. Take a left on M-94 East and continue to Chatham. At the four-way stop in Chatham, turn left onto Rock River Road. Destination is the first driveway to the left – watch for signage.

Treasa’s Treasures

N7561 La Combe Road, Munising, MI 49862 Producing: Eggs, Flowers, Heirloom Dry Beans, Herbs, Jam/Jelly, Maple Syrup, Plant Starts, Vegetables, Woven Rugs Directions: Take U.S. 41 South approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto M-28 East in Harvey. Go approximately 29 miles, then turn right on La Combe Road (dead end, gravel road). Go a ½ mile and the “micro-farm” is on the right.

Rock River Farm

N6301 Rock River Road, Chatham, MI 49816 Producing: Herbs, Plant Starts-annuals and perennials Directions: Take U.S. 41 South approximately 18 miles. Take a left on M-94 East and continue to Chatham. At the four way stop in Chatham turn left onto Rock River Road. Follow Rock River Road 2.75 miles. Driveway is on the left.

Guindon Farms

9111 County 416 H Road, Cornell, MI 49818 Producing: Organic Beef Directions: Take County Road 553 to M-35, turn left and go 27 miles. Turn right onto St. Nicholas 31st Road (County Road 430) and travel 4.3 miles. Turn left onto I Rd (County Road 519) and go 5.3 miles. Stay on I Rd (County Road 519) 1.1 miles. Turn left onto Boney Falls Rd (H Road) in ½ mile. This becomes County Road 426 after 0.3 miles. Turn right onto County Road 416 after 1.7 miles.

Between 12-5pm, tours run continuously 435 Beckman Road, Skandia, MI 49885 Producing: Chicken, Eggs, Turkey Directions: Take U.S. 41 South approximately 13 miles. Turn right on Beckman Road. (just past Bergdahl’s Farm & Equipment). Go approximately 2 miles to reach the farm.

Reh-Morr Farm

N5057 Benson Road, Eben Junction, MI 49825 Producing: Flowers, Herbs, Honey, Maple Syrup, Plant Starts, Vegetables Directions: Take U.S. 41 South approximately 18 miles. Take a left on M-94 East. Just past Eben Junction turn right on Benson Road. (immediately after Junction Auto). Look for a large hoop house on the right.

Slagle’s Family Farm

N7705 Metropolitan Road, Felch, MI 49831 Producing: Vegetables, Meat, Eggs, Maple Syrup, Produce; Vegetable, Herb, and Fruit plants Directions: Take U.S. 41 North 12.5 miles, turn left on M-95 South. Travel 38.7 miles and turn left on M-69 East. After 8.4 miles, turn right onto Metropolitan Road. Destination will be ¼ mile on the left.

Seeds & Spores Family Farm

724 Greenfield Road, Marquette, MI 49855 Producing: Eggs, Flowers, Fruit, Herbs, Meat, Mushrooms, Plant Starts, Poultry, Vegetables Directions: Take U.S. 41 South 7 miles, turn left on Mangum Road. (GT Sales is on the corner). About 3 miles down, turn right onto Greenfield Road. The driveway is a ½ mile down on the left.

Cloverland Farm

1030 Old Little Lake Road, Marquette, MI 49855 Producing: Eggs Directions: Take U.S. 41 South about 6 miles, turn right onto County Road 545 N. Travel 2 miles, turn right onto Old Little Lake Road. Destination is about a ¼ mile down the road on the right. Please park by the house unless otherwise noted at the driveway.

NOTE: All directions depart from downtown Marquette, driving directly to each farm. If you’re leaving from another location or driving from one farm to the next, you may want to seek out more accurate driving instructions. Tours operate rain or shine, so please dress appropriately.
