TEC Auditorium Technology Refresh ADDENDUM Number 2 dated August 31, 2016 RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS/CLARIFICATIONS 1. Question: What are the dimensions of the screen viewing area? Answer: Approximately 8’ H x 12.8’ W 2. Question: What is the Throw Distance for the projector? Answer: Approximately 35’-0” 3. Question: What is the mounting height of the pendent speakers? Answer: Approximately 13’-10” above flat floor level 3a. Question: What is the height of the roof structure the speakers are connected to shown on AV7.10 Detail 1? Answer: Approximately 22’-0” 4. Question: Panel shown on AV7.1 Detail 5 is not shown on AV0.1, AV2.1, AV5.1 and AV5.10. Is this panel not required? Answer: This is a typical detail, not an actual panel. 4a. Question: If it is required, where is it located and what is it terminated to? Answer: Please see 4 above. 5. Question: AV5.1 shows Existing Conduit for Run Numbers 1 through 3. What are the conduit sizes and numbers? Answer: Not determined, but large enough to contain described cables. 6. Question: Will better resolution structure drawings be provided along with CADs at award of contract? Answer: CAD drawings of the existing structural drawings are not available. They are in .tif file format. We can provide them in this format, enlarge them or, possibly, clean them up a little bit. 7. Question: Will the District provide a lift to reach the auditorium ceiling? Answer: No, all equipment and materials must be supplied by contractor. 8. Question: Will the District keep the existing screen in the auditorium? 1

TEC Auditorium Technology Refresh ADDENDUM Number 2 dated August 31, 2016 Answer: Yes, and it is understood that the image cast by the new specified projector in the IFB will not completely fill the existing screen panel. 9. Question: Is a payment bond or bid bond required? A payment bond is used once a job has been awarded and is not submitted with the bid. Answer: A payment bond is required as described in Special Condition No. 30. A form for the payment bond is provided in Exhibit 2-Bid Forms at pages 9 through 10. A payment bond is to be furnished by the winning bidder within fourteen (14) calendar days after having received the Notice of Award. 10. Question: Special Condition No. 4 indicates the award is a Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) set-aside. What SBE certification is required? Answer: The District will accept an SBE certification from a local, state or federal government agency. 11. Question: Exhibit 2 lists Forms Required in Bid Submittal. Item 9 on the list is a copy of a California Structural Engineer License. Can the license be provided when the contract is awarded? Answer: No, the license must be provided with the bid submission.
