2015 Was A Record Year!! Thanks to your generous support, we performed a record 12,336 surgeries in 2015! These surgeries have prevented hundreds of thousands of unwanted cats and dogs from being born into abuse, neglect, abandonment and ultimately facing euthanasia at overcrowded shelters. Because of these surgeries, the intake rates of cats and dogs at the shelters in the 24 counties that we serve should continue to decrease substantially. We could not have done it without your support, so THANK YOU!!!

Interesting Cat Facts: A female cat can produce as many as 3 litters each year. Cats can become pregnant as early as two weeks postpartum. Cats are 45 times more prolific than humans! Spaying a female cat greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer and removes the possibility of uterine and ovarian cancers. It is estimated that there are around 70 million homeless cats in the U.S.

She currently resides in Northern Kentucky with her three beautiful children, her two Chihuahuas, Owen and Louie, and her cat, Belle.

UCAN's mission is to provide professional, low-cost spay/neuter services to end the unnecessary deaths of homeless cats and dogs in shelters in the Greater Cincinnati area, including surrounding counties in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana.
