Celebrating Ps Peter and Elizabeth Anderson’s 10 years Since joining Mairangi Bay Community Church in March 2006, Ps Peter and Elizabeth have been used by God and seen Him move in many ways; from the lives touched and saved for Jesus by the preaching of the word, the extension of the building, through to their faithful service to people. In a recent interview with this well-loved couple, they were asked what one of the things was that had really touched them – and their common reply is “It’s people!” We pray God’s continued blessing over them as they enter this new season of their lives.

A Word from the Pastor All of us make mistakes which means that people can, and often will, hurt us by the mistakes they make. Sometimes people say or do things that cause us to become offended and experience a feeling of betrayal. It could be a family member, a friend or a colleague at work. The Bible makes it clear that when we are hurt or offended by the actions of others, we need to forgive them. When we refuse to forgive one another the resentment in our heart escalates and eventually builds into bitterness. Unforgiveness will destroy our relationships and can cause a number of major problems in our lives. As followers of the LORD we are called to forgive those who hurt us. Extending forgiveness is a vital aspect of the Christian walk. It is not always easy, but we cannot move forward in God without it. Because God has forgiven us, we can extend that same forgiveness to those around us. You might feel that you are justified in retaliating, but the Lord has called us to live our lives embracing heavens principles and ways. God is calling us out of retaliation and into forgiveness and reconciliation. Don't allow bitterness to dig its roots into your heart. Instead, uproot it by forgiving those that have hurt you and done you wrong. Those who live their lives with a forgiving attitude will have a heart at rest and in peace. Jesus said, "if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions." Matthew 6:14-15 The Lord Jesus bless you. Abri Brancken
