Abstract Objective: The aims of this study were to determine pre- and posttreat ment of cephalometric measurements in the skeletal anterior open bite patients with and without mini-implant anchorages (MIAs), and to compare the measurements between both groups. The hypothesis is that there are differences of treatment changes between groups. Materials and methods: A retrospective study was performed in fifteen skeletal anterior open bite patients. The MIAs were used to intrude molars in six patients (mean age of 25±8.1 years). Another nine patients (mean age of 24.3±2.6 years) were treated without MIAs and served as a control group. Paired t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to determine changes within and between groups, respectively (P
