Junior Logistics Specialist

JOB LOCATION:

Fort Riley, KS

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • A minimum of eight (8) or more years of experience providing logistics support for major systems or conducting logistics analyses. • Experience in SASMO. • In-depth knowledge and experience with SARSS-2AC/B, LIW (to include ILAP, Enhanced Dollar Cost Banding (EDCB), LID-B, FEDLOG, RPA) and WEBVLIPS. • Experience in performing and training soldiers to provide integrated supply management for general supplies to include Class II, III(P), IV, VII (new requirement with IMA/DOL Transfer) and IX at echelons above brigade level to facilitate logistical support of all units (AC, RC and NG) POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform and train soldiers to provide integrated supply management for general supplies to include Class II, III(P), IV, VII (new requirement with IMA/DOL Transfer) and IX at echelons above brigade level to facilitate logistical support of all units (AC, RC and NG).



Conduct analysis of supply capabilities and requirements and make appropriate recommendations to the AFSB/LSE and DMC staffs. Consolidate and prepare reports for the DMC.



Use existing readiness monitoring capabilities and collection of logistics intelligence from multiple logistics databases to predict, manage and resolve materiel readiness issues.



Provide guidance on the preparation of integrated logistics plans and policies and procedures for logistics support for major systems.



Ensure that proper logistics considerations are included in system development processes at each major milestone.



Perform analysis to determine system maintainability, reliability, and supportability requirements. Document results of the analysis in a report format.



Coordinate with the Materiel Management Teams, AFSB/LSE, and LCMCs to resolve supply and logistics issues.



Work with assigned military work force and help assimilate them into materiel management staff in support of the DMC mission.



Prepare research documents as required.
