Trending in the Teen Room Happy Turkey Day! Also known as Thanksgiving! Did you know that it is unlikely that the Pilgrims ate turkey on the first Thanksgiving? That’s right! They likely ate venison (deer meat) and lobster instead. In honor of Thanksgiving, come check out the books the staff at RML are thankful for on display in the Teen area. November is also affectionately known as “No Shave November”. While you are at the library, we “mustache” you to check out our stuffed backpack kit! It includes a pair of binoculars, a guide to Georgia’s State Parks and Historic Sites as well as a foldout Pocket Naturalist Guide to Georgia Wildlife, Georgia Birds, and Georgia Trees and Wildflowers. Use it in your backyard, in the library garden, or combine it with the State ParkPass (also available for checkout) for a free visit to a Georgia State Park!

November is NaNoWriMo!
But what on earth is that? NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. The goal for NaNoWriMo is just that-write a novel in the month of November. It won’t be perfect, and it doesn’t have to be, but the object is to just get the words on the page.
